WELCOME TO LA CLEF DU RECIT

WHO ARE WE ?
La Clef du Récit estate was created in 2012 in the town of Vinon, located south of Sancerre.
After numerous experiences in the universe of vines and wine, Anthony Girard takes possession of the keys to a wine estate in the hamlet of Récy, Located int he town of Vinon to the south-east of the Sancerre appellatuin, opposite Pouilly-sur-Loire.
Hence starts the beginning of a beautiful story for this estate called La Clef du Récit, whichover the seasons will divulge to you the passion of a young wine grower.
By taking part in this story, it's up to you to discover the different chapters, which vintage after vintage, will never fail to amaze your taste buds.
Anthony runs the estate through rigorous work in the vineyard whilst respecting the soil and the environnement in order to harvest ripe grapes, full of fruit..
The Menetou-Salon vines, rooted in the town of Morogues, flourish in the middle of soils from the Kimmeridgian era called white lands.
As for the production of Sancerre, it is located for 20% on terroirs similar to those of Morogues, which gives roundness to the wine. Length and minerality are provided by a flint soil (20%) which is added to 60% of soft limestone called "caillotes".

The fruit of our labour

La Haute valeur environnementale (HVE) garantit que les pratiques agricoles utilisées sur l'ensemble d'une exploitation préservent l'écosystème naturel et réduisent au minimum la pression sur l'environnement (sol, eau, biodiversité...).
White : Sauvignon grape
Red and Rosé : Pinot noir grape
WHITE SANCERRE
Our wine reveals the greatest expressions of Sauvignon thanks to the Sancerrois terroir.
It is a blend of limestone called "caillote" which gives it its freshness and fruitiness, and flint which gives it its power and its minerality. This wine will go perfectly as an aperitif, with seafood, fish and marries nicely even with certain cheeses, such as Crottin de Chavignol.

RED SANCERRE
This wine is a blend of 50% limestone called "caillote" and 50% flint. Love of the terroir, rigorous work in the vines and manual harvesting allow the winegrower to select the berries at full maturity and hence bring out the best in them.
Precise vinification is then carried out in the cellar with one-year aging in vats and barrels (50 to 80% wood).
This red Sancerre will flourish with grilled meats, poultry, and local charcuterie as well as with good regional cheeses.

MENETOU-SALON WHITE
Young winegrower, Anthony Girard planted the first vines in the Spring of 2010. Located in the town of Morogues, the "Kimmeridgien" soils called Terres Blanches (clay-limestone) are typical of Menetou-Salon.
This white wine is very popular as an aperitif and also goes well with your hot starters and fish served with sauce.

QUINCY BLANC
This wine, of a soft pale pink color, presents a fruity bouquet with notes of grapefruit and red fruits.
The blend of two terroirs (limestone and flint) brings complexity and balance to this rosé.
Ideal as an aperitif or with summer dishes, you will be seduced by its tender and fresh palate.

SANCERRE WHITE
"CUVÉE : THE SPLIT OAK"
This cuvée, made from limestone terroirs in Thauvenay town, is harvested on expressly when the aromatic peak of classic Sancerre Blanc is exceeded.
This choice of harvest date as well as fermentation and aging for 50% in barrels / 50% in concrete amphorae, brings complexity, richness and length to this atypical Sancerre.
Always on a dry wine profile, this vintage is to be discovered during aperitifs and / or will accompany your grilled fish and desserts with yellow fruits.
